Preoperative exams

Preoperative exams are mandatory. They can be performed during an outpatient visit.
The anesthesiologist may decide the opportunity of certain exams, or to cancel others.

- A cardiological and respiratory exam, a lower limb Doppler test.
- A blood sample analysis.
- An echography that will check the liver and the gallbladder (looking for gallstones).
- An upper GI endoscopy. This exam can be performed under general anesthesia. The physician will for ulcer or hiatal hernia.
